Step 3: Bleed the Air from the Reservoir Slowly open the ball valve between the system and the Salamander Reservoir about a quarter of a turn. This will allow the reservoir to fully fill with water, and bled out any air from the system. Once water has bled out of the bleed valve for a few seconds, close the ball valve on the Salamander Reservoir, and screw in the ball valve plug. The Reservoir is now full of water, and at equal pressure to the rest of the sprinkler system. |
